The similarities are very good it is a safe place to be in both cases. and sometimes our houses are made out of wood too.
The roof is similar too. We need to have the roof pitch like that so all the rain can fall off. Imagine if the roof was flat, where would the water go?
The wharepuni has lots of amazing carvings on them too. Especially the one at Arahura. Have you been there? Its is amazing.
