Summer learning Journey Week 1 day 1

             Summer learning Journey
                      Bonus Activity

I think I would really want to do this because it is in water and I not so fast at running so using my arms and not my legs will be easier. I can see that it is a team sport so  I like being in a team because you can make a lot of friends  in your team you also learn to work as a team with your team mates.

I think this sport is for me!

  1. Hi Angelina

Well done! I love it! I love that you have put yourself in the Waka!
I think it would be really hard to be in a Waka. I imagine that you would have to be very fit to do this. It would be hard work paddling.
It is a great team sport though, you would all have to work together as a team!
I would be worried about my balance! Imagine if I fell out! Stop laughing at me!!!

Good work, you have used your imagination with this one to make it more interesting.

    Good work

    Until next time

    Allie :)

  2. Kia ora Angelina,

My name is Emiely (pronounced "Emily") and along with Allie, I'm another blogger at the Summer Learning journey!

The presentation of this blog post looks great! It's great to see you have thought of a creative way to add a picture of you in a waka. You look like you'd be a great fit for this winning team!! I also think that Waka Ama racing is a great team sport. Everyone would need to learn how to work together to make the waka move in the direction you want it to. Maybe next time you might want to choose a colour font that is a little easier to read... Or maybe it's just my old eyes!

I can see that you enjoy swimming. Swimming is one of my favourite sports too! I really enjoy doing backstroke so I can watch the sky as I swim. Also, it means I don't have to come out of the water to take breaths! What is your favourite swimming style?

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Noho ora mai,

    Emiely :)
